Description

The newly designed MacBook had a 13.3” glossy widescreen LCD.  It had a newly designed keyboard and used a magnetic latch and AC adaptor connection.  There were three configurations.  The low-end ran at 1.83Ghz, had a 60Gb hard drive and 512Mb of RAM.  It had a Combo drive.  The midrange model ran at 2.0Ghz, had a 60Gb hard drive and 512Mb of RAM.  It had a SuperDrive.  The high end model, which was in a black case, ran at 2.0Ghz, had an 80Gb hard drive and 512Mb of RAM along with a SuperDrive.

History

The MacBook brought many of the features in the new MacBook Pro line to Mac’s consumer laptop line.  The single, compact MacBook replaced the 12.1” and 14.1” iBooks.

Timeline
